Around Apuseni Mountains & Maramures: 12 - 24 July 2009
To explore one of the best remained natural regions of Europe, we asked IntoRomania
for a tailor made tour in Maramures and the Apuseni mountains. This turned out
to be a great success, not only for our children of 8 and 10 years old, but also
for ourselves. We were surprised by the quality
of the accommodations and meals in the old wooden traditional houses. We did not
expected this in these remote villages in Romania. We will never forget the people
which would have done everything to comfort us. Their kindness is really very
special. And they still keep their old traditions alive. The hiking trips
had beautiful scenery and included a lot of variation in habitats with many rare
plants and birds species, representing a very high level of natural diversity.
The traditional houses and churches in the small valleys and the summer villages
high in the Apuseni mountains are beautiful. The canoeday was one great adventurous
day in the beautiful scenery of the Aries valley ! Kind and helpful guides with
a very professional attitude and information. The trip with the "Mocanita",
the old steam train in the Vaser valley, was another great experience. We also
enjoyed very much the day of the horse and cart ride and the visit to Meziad cave
and were surprised by the great number of bats in this cave. So,
a great "thank you" for taking care of our very nice holidays ! We certainly
want to visit other regions in Romania in the future and we would be delighted
to rely on IntoRomania for the organization of our future trips again. Kind
regards, Robbe, Lore, Elke and Yves De Cnodder, Belgium. | | |
Roaming the Carpathians: 11 - 18 April 2009
Hi Alina,
thanx again for the big adventure you took us! We had a wonderfull time in Romania
and we did some great hiking in Carpatian Mountain!
We absolutely loved fluffy dogs at Curmatura and it was great to see that gamuza
up on the top :) Our condition was not as good as we thought it would be, but
we did OK, especially thanx to your support and patience ;) We are looking forward
to climb some more and already made plans to climb in Sierra Nevada :D Brasov
was very good to relax and walk around and Saxon churches are gorgeos. So thanx
again for this wonderful tour and maybe we meet again in Spain or Romania :)
Adéu
from Enrique & Verito, Barcelona, Spain.
